Dear Friend in Christ,

The Bortniky Boys’ Home is a big family where 28 boys live at present. That full transformation into a family took place around five years ago under the leadership of Ruslan Markiv, MJ, and his full-time volunteer assistant David Lock who are real father-figures to the kids.
Ruslan tells us, “I personally noticed it when visitors kept repeating over and over that we have a great family spirit here. I do not mind it at all. It makes running the place so much easier when we do it as a family.

“On various occasions the boys refused to leave our place (when they had a chance to be adopted). They improved so much here at Bortniky: overcoming emotional and behavioral problems, becoming good students, etc. Most of those who have graduated from Bortniky over the past three to four years are ready to come and help with farming and humanitarian aid work when we ask them. And they are happy to do so without material reward.”

With its own farm, water supply, sewage system, barnyard animals, and fully constructed edifices, our Bortniky Boys’ Home is almost 100% self-sufficient. Yet to cover costs of running our school, staff salaries, medical expenses, equipment upkeep and other general operating expenses a little over $5,000 per month is needed. This is why we appeal to you, dear benefactor.

Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today, such as our Bortniky Boys’ Home in Ukraine. Your sacrifice of a monthly pledge or a one-time gift truly makes all the difference. In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily with gratitude because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.
