The world is hungry for God. What sphere of secular society—law, medicine, education, entertainment, social sciences, etc.—do you notice has not abandoned Christian principles? Not only that, but there are now even more prevalent attacks against God and all that is truly moral and good.
The principal apostolate of Miles Jesu’s lay members is to hold jobs in the world in order to subtly and effectively sanctify it from within. To this end, we established a special Miles Jesu Education Fund which provides the ongoing education needed for our consecrated members to engage in their lay professions and infiltrate them with God’s values.
Lourdes Olivares, MJ, one of the most recent beneficiaries of the Miles Jesu Education Fund, graduated cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in Education and is currently working at a public school. In her teaching role, she is able to promote Christian values without mentioning any particular religion because Christian principles help everyone, no matter who they are or what they believe.
