Dear Friend in Christ,
Thomas, MJ, a member of the Miles Jesu men’s community in Awka, Nigeria, is Academic Dean at a local school where he also teaches Sacred Scripture. He is the favorite teacher of many of the students. Nigeria recently celebrated Teacher’s Day and below are two of the notes Thomas received from his students:
Sir Thomas:
Happy Teacher’s Day! You are the greatest teacher a student could ever ask for. I thank you for being a very good teacher. Your teachings are very clear, and you are like a father to me, so I want to thank you so much. As I am appreciating you now, I want to also give you this little gift which you might need in the future.
May God Bless You! And grant your heart’s desire! Always remain happy!
Sir Thomas:
I write this letter of appreciation for all that you have done for me. Your class is my favorite because I love Bible stories. You have taught us so many of them. They are so interesting and you make them so understandable. I know that it is not easy for you or the other teachers, but you have REALLY helped me! So, without much more to say, I thank you and appreciate you. Thank you! Thank you very much! And God bless you.
From your loving student, Angel
Your help is needed to continue our work in Nigeria. Please help the Miles Jesu Missions today! Your tax-deductible gift or pledge makes all the difference! In Miles Jesu we take our benefactors seriously and pray for you and your loved ones each day at Mass and in our rosaries. This is our debt of gratitude, since the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s Providence through people like you.
