Miles Jesu owns a building in Mumbia, India that had been used for a number of years for the ‘Little Angels’ slum children outreach. “The area where the building is located was commercially developed and the slums have been relocated to a different part of the city too far away for the needy to each us, so that outreach had to be discontinued in 2023”, Ronald, MJ tell us. “Since then, we have been using the building to help young Catholic men, who have completed their University degrees and are looking for jobs, with low cost accommodations. They have been asked only to share the electricity and water bills once they get a job.”
“The father of one of the Udaya Nakshatra Boys Home students, Mr. Baptist Miranda, is also staying in the house as he is unable to pay the high rent elsewhere because he does not have a decent job. One of our members, Christuraj, is also staying with three young men and Mr. Baptist. To find decent accommodations in Mumbai is very expensive, so our program is a great help to these young men.”
