Dear Friend in Christ,

One of the apostolates of the Miles Jesu women’s community in Rome is the distribution of food items to poor families and immigrants, many of whom have small children, and who are dependent upon help from others. Every month the women pick up staples like rice, pasta, milk, oil, flour, canned vegetables and fruits from the Food Bank in Rome, return with their van full of these different items, and then distribute the food among 25 families (75 persons) in their parish, based on the number of people in the family.

Thanks to this help, many of the families are able to use some of their limited funds for the education of their children, medicines, and other things they need. “The people are happy and grateful for this help”, writes one of the Rome community members, “And we are happy too that, in this way, we are able to assist and support at least some of our brothers and sisters in need.”

Your help is needed to continue our work in Rome. Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today. Your sacrifice of a monthly pledge or a one-time gift truly makes all the difference. In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily with gratitude because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.
