“Our men’s community in L’viv has been doing all we can to help others affected by the war in Ukraine,” reports Tom, MJ, from L’Viv, Ukraine. “We have had many refugees living in our house and some are still staying with us. We have purchased huge amounts of medicine, food, equipment and supplies for civilians and soldiers alike. We even wound up baptizing the baby of a young mother who fled from Kharkiv and I am blessed to be his godfather.”
“We are also heavily involved in the Cursillo movement in Ukraine, which I am presently in charge of, and have held three Cursillos since February 2022. In spite of the war, we have never stopped our weekly meetings and have even created a theater group that performs regularly to spread some joy in the current unhappy situation. Our experiences during the war continue to challenge us to reach new levels of the faith, hope, and love we are all called to.”
