Dear Friend in Christ,

“We’ve expanded the Mumbai ‘Little Angel’s Program’ and are collaborating with Sr. Rosamma in caring for tribal children,” Fr. Thomas Cahill, MJ, tells us, “and we are now working with a total of eight wadis – or villages – of Adivasi tribals. The families of these children are indentured laborers who make bricks. We are helping with the education of the children and establishing self-help groups for the women. Of course, the ‘employers’ of the brick-making industry do not want these tribal people to improve their lives, as that would impact their low-cost labor pool. Many thanks to our benefactors who make helping these poor families possible.”

“Our boys in the ‘Udaya Nakshatra’ (Morning Star) Boys’ Home in Sirsi, India, usually walk the mile and a half to school every day, but sometimes during the rainy season we give them a lift. Our mini van is a seven-seater, but we’ve packed as many as 23 boys into it. Oh the moans and the groans on those occasions!”

Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today, such as our ‘Little Angels Program’ in Mumbai and ‘Udaya Nakshatra’ (Morning Star) Boys’ Home in Sirsi, India. Your sacrifice of a large gift, a monthly pledge or whatever you can afford, truly makes all the difference.

In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily at Mass and in our holy hours and rosaries because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.

Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today.
