The Miles Jesu women’s community in Rome continues their apostolate for the poor in and around St. Peter’s Square. Geraldine, MJ, writes, “The month of August is very difficult for the homeless in Rome because many charitable organizations leave for vacation during this time. We were asked one day by a woman named Angela if we would be on vacation as well or if we would be able to bring some food for her and her son. We answered, “Yes, we will be here.” Sometimes we give them a homemade sandwich, a piece of fruit, juice, and a sweet cake. Other times we bring them a hot meal that we have cooked. They are very grateful for what we are doing for them; and to see their smiling faces is enough for us to come to their area each week. We appreciate each one of you who are supporting this apostolate with your donations.”
