Dear Friend in Christ,

“A few weeks ago there was a reunion here of 12 of our fellows who have moved on from our ‘Udaya Nakshatra’ (Morning Star) Boys’ Home in Sirsi, India,” reports Fr. Thomas, MJ. “They’ve come from villages where few have studied beyond sixth grade, including a village of 150 people where 12 of the 48 youths have perished in the past seven years due to accidents, murders, suicides, diseases.

“We’re amazed how ‘our boys’ have stood strong, have grown, some already pursuing their careers after completing university; some still studying—one is pursuing an MBA, one doing a master’s in mathematics, another studying engineering, and one preparing to enter the seminary next year. But studies and careers are only a part of the meaning of ‘success.’ What really counts is spiritual strength and perseverance in a virtuous life. The world and flesh suck one into the downward swirl of its decadence. Many people tell us that our kids would never have gotten past 10th grade and may not even have survived the village without us. We thank you for helping us in transforming our boys into men.”

Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today, such as our Boys’ Home in Sirsi, India. Your sacrifice of a large gift, a monthly pledge or whatever you can afford, truly makes all the difference. In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily at Mass and in our holy hours and rosaries because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.
