Dear Friend in Christ,
Our St. Theresa Nursery and Primary School in Nimo, Nigeria, presently has over 100 children taught and cared for by ten teachers under the direction of two Miles Jesu women’s community members.
Lucia, MJ, tells us, “Classes resumed for the 2021/2022 school year on September 13, 2021. We decided to grant a full scholarship to a beautiful little girl named Naza who was conceived under very sad circumstances. Naza’s mother is mentally and physically handicapped from birth. She can hardly talk but always has a beautiful smile for everyone. Her parents were struggling financially so she was often with neighbors while the mother worked to make ends meet. One of those days she was raped by an unknown person, but it didn’t become known to her parents until months later when signs of pregnancy began to manifest. Her mother was heartbroken and worried for her daughter who she was afraid would die from the pregnancy. She probably also wondered how they would feed the additional mouth. In God’s providence, Naza’s mother gave birth without any complications. Little Naza is now three years old and is in our pre-Nursery class. She has no physical or mental impediments, is doing very well, and got the best result in the first term examinations. Her grandparents call her Chinazekpere (God answers prayers), deciding to give her that beautiful, very positive sounding name because they trust God has a hand in every circumstance.”
Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today, such as our school in Nigeria. Your sacrifice of a monthly pledge or a one-time gift truly makes all the difference. In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily with gratitude because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.
