A few years ago Nicole, one of our MJ Vinculum members who happens to be the one who does all the beautiful graphics for our MJ Update brochures each month, told us about a new way we could garner support for our Miles Jesu Missions: by shopping on AmazonSmile, a program from Amazon that turns your regular online shopping into a means of creating donations to your favorite charity. Instead of shopping on amazon.com, go to smile.amazon.com and select Miles Jesu as your charity. AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know: same products, same prices, same service. Every three months Amazon will deposit 0.5% of the total of all eligible purchases made on AmazonSmile into the registered bank account of each customer’s selected charity.
We are struggling to meet our monthly operating expenses for our Miles Jesu Missions in India (Boys’ Home and Little Angels Program), Nigeria (St. Theresa primary and secondary school and Needy Women and Children’s Program), and Ukraine (Girls’ Home and Soup Kitchen). To date, we have received over $1,489 through the AmazonSmile program from purchases made online. Since every bit helps, we just wanted to remind all of you Amazon shoppers out there of this way to help Miles Jesu in addition to your regular financial support.
