India Little Angels Program

India Little Angels Program2024-09-23T15:07:00+00:00

Our Little Angels Outreach dates its origins back to the early 1990’s.  At that time we started giving breakfast to a group of “raggies” (ragpickers) who would filter through heaps of vermin-filled rubbish in search of “valuables”. Besides the sandwiches, bananas and milk they wanted more: to learn English so that they could get jobs and be lifted up from the filth of their lowly status.  Over the years, the program expanded to serving the children of the slums whose parents could not give them the care they needed due to their desperate situations in life.  Between 20-40 came daily to the nutrition program and some came for special tutoring. We also regularly held medical camps and celebrated the feasts with the kids.

Unfortunately, the area where the Little Angels Outreach building is located has been commercially developed and the slums relocated to a different part of the city – too far away for the needy to reach us. Therefore, the Outreach had to be discontinued in 2023. Donations from many benefactors over the years made a tremendous difference in the lives of all the children touched by this Outreach.  We deeply appreciate their support and praise God for what we were able to accomplish with the assistance of so many generous people.
