When There’s Nowhere Left to Turn

The Miles Jesu men’s community in Awka, Nigeria, started the Women and Children’s Apostolate in 2017 to help poor women and children and those who are having difficulties but have nowhere else to turn.

“George Eze had fractured both hands while working as a construction laborer,” Joseph, MJ, tells us. “He had used all the money he had trying to get treatment for the injuries from a traditional healer because the hospital demanded payment ‘up front’ before they would treat him. We were able to assist him so he could get the help he needed to treat his injuries.” 

“Catherina Ali is a widow we were able to help establish a small farm so she would be able to support herself. We are very grateful that the generous support from you, our benefactors, makes it possible for us to help these people in their need!”
