Reverend Alphonsus Maria Duran, 1931-2017

Blessed be the Name of Jesus!

Fr. Duran passed away early this morning, October 27, 2017, at about 12:45 Spain time.  Maria Luisa had spent the day with him and Yolanda was on watch when he expired.  It seems that the Lord had prepared him for this moment and at the same time Fr. Duran was offering his pains and sufferings for the good of the Institute.  Father received the sacrament of the sick yesterday evening.

Maria Luisa and Yolanda’s care for Fr. Duran for the past 10 years was heroic.  Several of our sisters also spent long periods of time caring for him.

This morning at Mass with the children here in India I offered the first of the 30 Gregorian Masses for the eternal rest of Father. Please join in offering prayers and Mass for the repose of the soul of Father Duran.
