Dear Friend in Christ,
Miles Jesu has been operating the St. Theresa Nursery and Primary School in Nimo, Nigeria, for more than 11 years. “On September 15th, 2025, the students were thrilled when they heard they were now going to be able to have their practical computer lessons without power failure interruptions!”, Lucia, MJ, tells us. “In the past, in the middle of a lesson, the power would suddenly go off and you could see the disappointment on their faces. They would pray, hoping the power would be restored soon, but more often than not, power wouldn’t be restored until they had already gone home for the day. Now, the 16 solar panels and four inverter batteries installed with the new solar-power system ensure an uninterrupted power supply for practical computer lessons. Each time I go to get the next group of pupils, they all cheer with joy on their faces and pray they never wake if these lessons are a dream! They will come to see that the power interruptions which plague the ordinary Nigerian home have ceased to be a threat to computer literacy for them. The solar-power system has also resolved the need for an alternative power supply to pump water for use in St. Theresa as it is able to power the 3.5 hp water pumping machine. The pupils at St. Theresa will ever be grateful to the benefactors that made the school solar-powered!”
Please help our Miles Jesu Missions today, such as our school in Nimo, Nigeria. Your sacrifice of a large gift, a monthly pledge or whatever you can afford, truly makes all the difference. In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily at Mass and in our holy hours and rosaries because the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon God’s help through people like you.
