The Little Angels Need Some Wings (Wheels)

Dear Friend in Christ,

“Our Mumbai ‘Little Angels’ mission for needy children has extended itself to seek special help for the Mother Clara’s Children’s Home in the Dumka Diocese of northern India, the second most backward district in illiteracy and economic development as per last year’s census,” Fr. Thomas, MJ, tells us. “The home was started in 2010 by the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters to support the education and health care of the tribal children in the locality.

“Sr. Mariamma runs the Mother Clara’s Children’s Home and has turned to Miles Jesu for help: ‘We need a sturdy jeep-type vehicle built for rugged roads to transport the children from their home localities to school, for home emergency services, and for timely health support for the children at our Mother Clara’s Home. Presently we are working in 61 villages. Depending upon public transport because we have no vehicle, one of our sickened children died on the way to the hospital just recently. If we had our own vehicle, we could manage our development programs effectively and also extend them to other parts of our region.’

“A road-worthy vehicle for the Mother Clara’s Children’s Home will cost $12,000. The need is truly dire, so I make this urgent appeal to our Miles Jesu benefactors.”

Your help is needed to continue our work in India. Please help the Miles Jesu Missions today! Your tax-deductible gift or monthly pledge truly makes all the difference! In Miles Jesu we pray for our benefactors daily. This is our debt of gratitude, since the Miles Jesu Missions depend upon the Providence of God through people like you.
